Phosphorus (phosphate)

• Ortho-phosphate (H2PO4-) available ion

• (PO4-3) can form precipitants with

  • (Fe+3), (Al+3), (Mn+3), (Ca+3), and (Mg+3)
  • depending on the pH of the soil solution

• Precipitants: immobile and unavailable
