The place to buy and sell farm fresh produce, hanging baskets, bedding plants, pumpkins,
fall decorations, potted mums, and naturally grown produce.

Barton County Produce Auction is an LLC owned by a number of local LLC shareholders near Lamar, organized for the purpose of selling locally grown produce, providing a market for interested growers and wholesale buyers. Perishable crops are picked just hours before the sale.

The auction is directed to wholesale buyers, such as grocery stores, roadside stands, farm markets, etc. Anyone who can use produce in boxes or flat lots for canning, freezing, and preserving is welcome to buy. There are always some small lots available.

The auction is designed to be a central point for growers and buyers to gather and auction locally grown large lots of produce at competitive auction pricing. Similar auctions among the Mennonite and Amish communities have been very successful!

Hanging baskets, bedding plants, strawberries, tomatoes, cantaloupes, sweet corn, green beans, zucchini, watermelons, peppers, cucumbers, pumpkins, ornamental corn, gourds, potted mums, etc.

Terms and Conditions

  • Anyone who grows produce within a 100-mile radius of the Barton County Produce Auction, LCC is welcome to consign.
  • Sellers that do not grow their own produce, or are outside the 100-mile zone defined above need prior approval from the auction board.
  • A 12% commission charge is collected to support the auction.
  • There will be packaging restrictions to keep the product as uniform as possible. Ask for our Packaging and Grading Guide. New boxes will be available at the auction.
  • Consigners will be assigned permanent numbers, enabling buyers to buy more consistently.
  • Buyers need to have their sales tax number in our file, or pay the sales tax.
  • This auction has a NO "no sale" policy.
