Pre-fresh Cows
1.  Move into north side of greenhouse barn when 2 to 3 weeks prior to fresh. 
2.  Give LEPTO HARDJO, SCOUR VACCINE, E. COLI MASTITIS VACCINE, and SELENIUM when cow is moved into greenhouse.
3.  When cow is showing signs of calving, move into freshening pen.

Freshening Pen
1.  If cow labors for 1/2 hour and is not productive, assist calving.
2.  Feed cow 1 pail of warm water with one large cup of ELECTROLYTE after calving.
3.  Remove cow immediately after calving and put in post fresh pen.
4.  Clean freshening pen daily if used.  When temperature is below freezing, do not use pressure washer.
5.  Use bleach daily, JOHNE’S DISINFECTANT on Saturdays.
6.  Sweep all water out door or into pump.

Post-fresh Cows
1.  Temp fresh cows daily.
2.  Chalk the appropriate color stripe on cow’s rump.
3.  When cow is in fresh cow group for 14 days, she can be moved into the breeding   
     group.
4.  At 14 days give 5cc PROSTAGLANDIN to cows that have any red or orange marks on the rump.
5.  Do not move a cow that has a red mark within the past 3 days.
6.  Cows who are off feed should be moved into the hospital barn.
