Building a Successful Program:

  • Build a statewide alliance.
  • Advisory Council for vision and direction.
  • MU Extension providing scientific expertise.
  • Education and communication.

Focus in 2016

  • Nitrogen - How efficient are we? What is the best timing?
  • Phosophorus - Are we near where we need to be?
  • Cover crops - Can it work? Does it help?

Tom Taylor discussed water management. He spoke of a company in Australia that has been able to do a lot of research. Optic surface software has been created to help with water management and to analyze a field and determine any existing water flows.
