Mark Jenner is a principle investigator in a grain marketing grant and helped invent a game about teaching market risk management. This is a ten-week game that brings the market to life. He explains that there is a lot of risk involved in farming and selling and buying products too soon or too late. Many times there are no guarantees, thus the risk is high, but with that brings high reward if a person is successful. The game takes away the true real life risk, but allows a person to become familiar with jargon costs associated with grain markets and become more confident. The game also has a blog and educational videos all for free at communitychallenge.com. The greatest value to this game comes from being able to use the marketing tools. Mark also gave a live demonstration at the conference.
