Shannon White presented the conference group with the fact that there was a large amount of maps in use in the world today. She asked for the audience to chime in on how they use maps in today's world. She also talked about the abilities of satellite imaging. Then, Shannon went on to describe how to use the website to create maps. Shannon also talked about the different tools the website had and how you could interact with them. Then we viewed different story maps provided by the website. She ended the discussion with the audience's questions and more hands-on examples and activities.
