MS Excel Spreadsheets can be used in beef operations for many useful purposes:
Making simple and complex calculations
Keeping track of feed
Keeping track of various costs
To keep tack of sales
Compare and contrast items you are considering buying
To make future financial projections
If you know the actual mathematical formulas, Excel is very user-friendly
With Excel, you do not need to re-enter the formula over and over again, you can copy and paste the formula
Can be used as a simple database; easier for the user to adapt to
Excel can display data in various graphs or charts
