Larry Godsey, Economist with the University of Missouri Center for Agroforestry, presented a decision tool that he developed to assist producers on whether it will be benefical and profitable to plant trees on their farms. Godsey discussed the five types of agroforestry: alley cropping, forest farming, riparian buffers, windbreaks, and silvopasture. Under the new Farm Bill there are many programs that will provide assistance to producers who wish to establish agroforestry practices.
