Using Handheld Computers in the Field

An intent crowd learned of the Crop Performance Testing's use of handheld computers for data collection including fild notes and harvest data. Fritts discussed the pros and cons as well as features of various hand-held devices. He also demonstrated that this system cut time and increased accuracy in the Crop Testing's data collection system.

Fritts also expressed that such handheld devices could be used in any data collection situation, including livestock.
