Dr. Norlin Hein, explained to the Computers on the Farm participants how he hoped they would be able to obtain new ideas from the presentations during the conference and from each other through the idea exchanges. This session allowed the user group to exchange ideas about what works, what doesn't work and where each producer would like to be using computers in their business in the near future. Several ideas exchanged during this time included: genealogy programs, accounting programs, monitoring farm from a remote place, feed rations, MIR record keeping system, automated feeding and temperature.
