The Advanced Computing Discussion, which was mediated by Gerry
Ehlmann, was an interactive, open discussion between many
advanced and inquisitive computer users. A variety of questions
and discussion was brought up during the one hour session. The
main topic of intrest was concerning software that handles
advanced field mapping, Global Positions (GPS), aerial photos,
field data, and can overlay these maps on each other. Ohter
questions that arose were:
What is being done with computers on the farm except book keeping?
How hard is it to put a CD-ROM drive in a computer?
What can I expect from my local service provider?
