Naturally-Ventilated Site

Shelterbelt can be 2-3 rows on north side of facility, depending on plant species and need for visual barrier. Only one row of trees should be planted on south side of facility to prevent a significant reduction in airflow to the facility for ventilation. Distances shown for spacing are minimums. Spacing between trees and shrubs within a row will be dependent on individual species.
