Shelterbelt can be 2-3 rows on north and south sides of facility, depending on plant species and need for visual barrier. Distances shown for spacing are minimums. If airdam walls are not used at fan-end of buildings, distance to the first row of plants should be increased to a minimum of 75 feet. Spacing between trees and shrubs within a row will be dependent on individual species.
