Consulting forester Skip Stokes, of Stella, reports a recent timber
sale in southwest Missouri that reaffirms the value of the bidding
process when selling timber. Skip reports that five of the six bids
were from loggers who graduated from the Missouri Logger Training
School, which emphasizes best management practices when harvesting
timber. The following bids were reported for this timber harvest.
