Bob Ball, 61, of Columbia, has been selected as the Executive Director of the Forest and Woodland Association of Missouri. Ball recently retired from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) with more than 42 years of federal service working in Ohio and Missouri. He had most recently served as the State Resource Conservationist with NRCS overseeing their field technical services and plant materials program.

Ball has a B.S. in Agriculture majoring in Agronomy from The Ohio State University, and he attended graduate school at the University of Dayton majoring in Public Administration. He is vice-chairman of the Missouri Forest Resources Advisory Council and Vice President of the Missouri Walnut Council. In addition, he is an active member of the Ohio Forestry Association and the National Woodland Landowners Association. Ball is a Past President of the Missouri Show-Me Chapter, Soil and Water Conservation Society and received the Fellow award from the society in 2008.
